When the soccer powerhouse that was Akron came to Florida, the Eagles were ready. They visibly outplayed Akron for most of the match, though the score reflected only a tie at the end of regulation. After two golden goal overtime periods, it remained 1-1, with neither team going home satisfied, but the Eagles having an unofficial victory!
